Politics were brutal!
This is a story with a moral too it. People are getting pretty upset when it comes to politics these days. I thought we all might learn a lesson from our past. Maybe we can steer clear of this type of behavior today.
This incident happened a long time ago. Back when men were men, and sheep were scared!
I am going to have to give you all little background information on political history. Most of you will already know this information, but if someone doesn’t, then it will blow the whole story. You history buffs probably will not need it, but I’ve got some down time and felt like writing anyway. I will write the historical background information in red so you can fly past it efficiently if you want to.
Background info:
Before the 1850’s there were two main political parties in the United States, as there are now. The Democrats who were predominantly in the southern states, and the “Whigs” who were predominantly in the northern states. Well, along came a freed slave and self taught scholar turned statesman, named Frederick Douglass. He convinced most of the politicians in the “Whigs” party to renounce slavery. In doing so, they abandoned the now defunct Whigs party, and formed a new one. They decided to call themselves the Republican Party. One of these politicians was a little known former U.S. Congressman and lawyer named Abraham Lincoln. With his self taught knowledge of the law, keen political wit, and superb public speaking ability - old honest Abe became a rising star in the Republican Party. In 1860, Abraham Lincoln became the 16th President of the United States, and was the first Republican to be elected president.
As you can imagine, tensions were rising between the Republicans in the north, and the Democrats in the south. The southern Democrats had long felt under represented and forgotten in the U.S. Federal Government. There were a whole range of issues and disputes at the time, but the abolishment of slavery was “the straw that broke the camel’s back”.
The southern states began to rebel, and they referred to themselves as the Confederacy. Confederate soldiers began taking over forts and out posts all over the south.
At 4:30 am, on April 12th, 1861, Confederate General Pierre Gustave Toutant Beauregard opened fire on Union soldiers occupying Fort Sumter, Charleston, SC, thus beginning the U.S. Civil War.
Okay, let’s fast forward. In April of 1865, President Abraham Lincoln was assassinated in Ford’s theater by John Wilkes Booth. Booth, was upset about imminent defeat of the Confederacy. Vice President Johnson became the 17th U.S. President of the United States of America, and shortly after that the Union won the war. As President his priority was rebuilding the south, and this was termed “reconstruction”. Reconstruction officially ended in the year 1877.
Now, I know that I missed many important points, but this will get you through the following story.
Politics and a Dead Sheriff
I never knew how screwed up and violent politics were in the forty some odd years after Civil War. I always thought that the violence basically ended with the Civil War, but politics were ruthless during this time. As it turns out, east Texas was no exception. It is hard to find much information about this critical time in Texas. It has been completely scrubbed from public school curriculum, even in Texas. I am not exactly sure why, but I have an idea. The liberal public education system white washed it away! Could you imagine what would happen if racial and ethnic minorities found out that it was the Democrats who fought to keep slavery alive in the United States? What if African Americans found out what a “Blue Dog Democrat” is? Our whole two party system would be in danger of collapse. So, I can only assume that the liberals all but erased it from history. I will tackle the liberal public education system in another posting. I do not want to get too far off topic here.
Anyway, the post Civil War Reconstruction era was horrifically violent in Texas. It pitted families against families, neighbor versus neighbor, and one town against the other. There were “O.K. corral” shoot outs happening all over east Texas. The conservative Democrats fought tooth and nail with the liberal Republicans (I know! Say it out loud. It sounds even stranger.) for political power in east Texas. Apparently, the Democrats called themselves “Jaybirds”, and the Republicans referred to themselves as the “Woodpeckers”! Now, I haven’t been able to find multiple sources for the information on this one particular incident. So, I will just copy and paste it from the original source that I found it on. I’ll leave the web address at the bottom of this blog. You all can look at it, and determine if you think the source is a reliable one. It seemed so to me.

"Reconstruction in the South officially ended in 1877, but the Republican Party had gained a stronghold in many counties with the support of freed Black voters. A feud broke out in Fort Bend County in 1888 between wealthy, white Democratic “Jaybirds," and Republican “Woodpeckers,” who had power since Reconstruction. The feud crossed racial, social and politics lines. Assassination and violence had become commonplace. Fort Bend County Sheriff Tom Garvey was a leader of Woodpeckers, and opposed the efforts of the Jaybirds to return to power through violence. The town was an armed camp. The Governor sent Texas Rangers to maintain order.
On August 16, 1889, the Jaybirds faced Woodpeckers in front of the courthouse. Sheriff Garvey and a crowd of armed men warned the Rangers to get out of the way since this was none of their business. A Ranger sergeant and four privates on horseback tried to block the two sides. A gun battle erupted and Sheriff Tom Garvey, his uncle, former Sheriff J. W. Blakey, Jaybird leader, H. H. Frost, and a bystander were killed outright and many participants were wounded. Ranger Private Frank Schmid, Jr., was severely wounded, and died from his wounds on June 17, 1893.
Sheriff Garvey was appointed in October 1886, and was elected on November 2, 1886. He was re-elected on November 6, 1888. Ranger Sergeant Ira Aten, who was trying to maintain order that day, was appointed sheriff on August 21, 1889.”

Tim Wise "Asshat Liberal"

Okay. Here is the deal. Tim Wise is an extreme, far left, hate monger, whom basically earns a living by selling books and giving seminars on how conservative Anglos are pretty much the root of all evil. You can think of him as the extreme, far left, version of a one man Ku Klux Klan. He does not preach diversity, as much as he preaches hate that divides!
Apparentely, P.V. A&M University invited him to give a speach about "White Prevlige" (That P.V. A&M's spelling!), on Tuesday November 16th at their auditorium.

Why would this “Wise guy” be coming to a conservative area to preach his hate and intolerance? Prairie View A&M University is in NorthWest Houston. It may be a historically black university, but does that mean that historically Anglo universities should cater to the KKK? Of course not!
A Univeristy in a Blue State would work out much better. My only conclusion is that he is using the same playbook as the moronic Neo Nazis that are supposedly his arch enemy. The moronic Neo Nazis have long used the ploy to hold rallies in black neighborhoods. Why would they do this, you ask? Looking for new recruits? Doubtful. These idiots hold their rallies in black neighborhoods, so that the blacks will loot and pillage their own stores and homes!....And unfortunately... it usually works.
So, will we conservative Texans burn Houston to the ground? No. It’s not our style. What we can do is call and tell P.V. A&M University just how we feel about them hosting hate mongers and extremist. We can remind them who holds the proverbial “purse strings” here in Texas, and just whom their donors are! We’ll just give them a little “vocal” nudge in the RIGHT direction. They need to be thinking about who won in the Texas mid-term elections, and where we can make some fiscal spending cuts in order to get our budget balanced (wink)! They are a State funded University after all.

Houston's Red Light Cameras
Comment that I posted on the Houston Chronicle's "Red Light Cameras" story.
Are they trying to say that those red light cameras were put up to make us STOP at red lights?
I always thought that it was a "toll road" sort of deal. If you have the money to pay the fees, then you don't have to stop at red lights anymore. I have been blowing through red lights without even slowing down, ever since they started using those cameras. I thought it was just another "perk" of being wealthy.

Well, jut in case you have not been following my blogsite, I will give you a quick over view of my stance on some international and domestic issues.

1) Reparations:
Yes. I believe that the American League of Morons should pay reparations to XLIBERALFOOL & Friends. The A.L.M. has so severely decreased the average IQ of the nation that it has pushed XLIBERALFOOL & Friends into a minority group consisting of privileged intellectuals. Now, every time we say something intelligent, members of the A.L.M. get confused and say "dat not PC - Dat RACIST". We are not outcast, and we are not lepers. You have my word, that seeking reparations from the American League of Morons, will be my first priority!

2) Public Schools:
Education is very important to me. What I see in the public schools is a severe lack of proper motivation. To curb this problem I purpose that if a child fails in school, then that child should be sent to work on labor farms for the entire summer break. In cases where a child refuses to work during the summer, he/she will be asked not to attend public school for the entire next school year.

3) Illegal Immigration:
I propose that we make drugs legal, and hire the Mexican drug cartel to secure the borders. Next we should deport anyone who is not legally residing in the United States.. To address the potential shortage of labor on farms, please refer to issue #2 public schools.
.
4) Israel / Palestine
It is my belief that the Lebanese, Israeli, and Palestinian territories should be turned over to the original inhabitants, the Phoenicians. The mosque on the Temple Mount should be torn down and replaced by a pyramid shaped, New Age Church of Meditation.

5) Afghanistan / Iran:
Iran should be allowed to annex Afghanistan. In return, Iran will stop building thermo-nuclear weapons, and instead immediately dedicate the money to investigating ESP and paranormal activities.

6) North Korea:
The U.S. will sign a pact promising not to attack North Korea. Kim Jung Il will have to attend weekly anger management sessions, where Dr. Phil will teach him to express his feelings in a more healthy manner.

7) Poisonous toys made in China:
For every one hundred toys produced and exported by China, the Chinese Premier must lick one random toy before the other ninety nine can be shipped.

One week later...

Last Wednesday, I was vetted by Ralph Nader himself. Being vetted is an interesting process. First, Ralph and I went to dinner. We did not talk about politics as much as you would think. Then we went back to his party headquarters and got down to business. Being vetted hurt at first, but then I started to enjoy it. Ralph asked me not to tell anyone about him vetting me. I guess he did not want the Republicans and Democrats to know who his running mate is. He told me that I was his double, secret weapon for the campaign in 2012.
All in all, be vetted is quite the difficult ordeal and very uncomfortable, but I think it will be worth it in the long run!

Letter to the Southern Poverty Law Center
I recently wrote email to the SPCA. I thought I would share it on my blog.
Southern Poverty Law Center:
This email is to request information on how one becomes acknowledged on the SPLC’s general hate group list. What are the criteria to be declared a hate group by the SPLC? To get on the list, do you have to be nominated by a third party, or can you just send in an email request? Can the group be an online, virtual organization or does it need to have monthly, in person, meetings? How many members must the organization be composed of? What about the whole hate part? Is there a pre-approved list of people that the organization can hate (like blacks, Jews and homosexuals), or can the hate be directed at pretty much anyone? Lastly, do the organizations have to condone violence, or is being a passive aggressive hate group enough?
I, XLIBERALFOOL, do hereby officially request that my blogging and social media group be placed on the SPLC’s prestigious, general hate group list. I looked for an application on your website, but I could not find one. I came to the conclusion that the SPLC is a high-class sort of hate organization and only accepts resumes. So, here it is. I will now take the time to describe myself and my extremist ideology. I am a white male of mostly Anglo decent (Shit that alone will probably get me put on a hate list.), about 30 years of age, and I have green eyes and blondish hair. I once tried to join the Aryan Brotherhood, but apparently you have to be an ex-convict to become a member of their organization. They did offer to make me an honorary member, but I just could not reconcile with the Brotherhood’s extreme anti-whaling stance. I am also ex-Army and I heard that military experience goes a long way when the SPLC is considering which hate groups to accept.
So, let us discuss the all important “hate part” of my hate group. I have developed an intense loathing for old people, poor people, and children. I am not too much into the whole race hate thing, but I do have a serious and irrational fear of Eskimos. I can diversify, if my targeted groups are deemed to be insufficient. I am not sure if it counts, but my wife says that I am a male chauvinist. Just let me know. I am committed to getting on your general hate group list, and I am willing to conform to the SPLC’s high standard of hate.
So far, I only have two followers on Twitter and two friends on Facebook (I have not started to advertise yet.). Do not fret though; I plan to attract many new members in the coming months and years. I am currently considering two advertising slogans “Let them eat cake” and “Viagra is the opiate of the elderly”. Let me know if you have a preference as to which I should choose.
I saw your interactive hate map online, and unfortunately I do not yet have a stated location for my hate group. When I have more members, I can build a lodge with kitchen facilities and offer Sunday morning brunch for my followers. Does the SPLC offer low interest loans for hate groups that make it on their general hate list? Anyways, I am too lazy to be violent. Plus, when it comes to fighting, I am kind of a sheep in wolves’ clothing. Fist fights are scary, but if words could kill, then the streets would be littered with the bodies of children and poor, elderly people.
